Home Alone's Joe Pecsi was part inspiration for the gloves and crowbar.

Btw my father was pretty much a tough guy as you see but he actually could be nice at times and have a pretty good sense of humor. Honestly, I did not inherit the tough guy gene thank god. I am not like that, Lol.
